I cut three layers out of complementary coloured irridescent cardstock using my CraftROBO, the outer and inner layer out of cardstock with a more greeny tinge and the middle out of cardstock with a more bluey tinge. I like to sometimes use gold and silver together, so for this card I made an 8" x 8" card using silver mirror card fro the front, which I used a paper punch to punch a pattern in all four corners, and I used a gold mirror card for the inside back so that it showed through the punched pattern. I also used a simple gold peeloff greeting ("Diolch" being Welsh for "Thank You") in the middle of the smallerst layer. The largest layer was stuck directly to the centre of the card using glue gel as a flat glue. Each of the patterns around the edges was decorated with a clear crystal sticky back gem. I took a silver metalic marker around the outside edge of the two middle layers, and a purple metalic marker around the round blobs at the centre of each of the patterns on the middle layer. Smaler pale mauve faux gems were stuck to the centre of each pattern on the middle layer and smaller clear crystal sticky backed gems to the pattern on the smallest layer. These were stuck to the card using glue gel to give the layers some rise. I finished off the card with some butterflies from my crafty stash.
Realy lovely nesties that are lovely used in layers as a focal point of a card, but would be equally as nice using just one layer to frame a round topper I think.
