Lantern on Plinths Design No 1 - I cut out the pieces using my scan n cut machine, using gold textured card and a golden brown plain card for the plinths.

I assembled the main lantern pieces using strong glue tape and attached the floor/base.

The plinths and decorative panels were assembled and glued together. The lantern itself was then glued to the plinths.

I decorated parts of the lantern windows with stick-on gems, added metallic fabric flower shapes to the roof sections and carefully placed a little glitter on each of the small heart cut-outs on the plinth panels and on the very top 'cone' piece.

Finally, I place a battery-operated tea light candle inside. Although I decided to use gold colours this time, I think the lantern would look good in a range of colours and patterns.
