Mother's Day Bouquet Box

As the sample above shows - this makes a lovely boxed bouquet to give as a Mother's Day gift, but I thought it would also make a lovely keepsake to give as a "Get Well Soon" gift to a person in hospital seeing as flowers are no longer allowed to be taken in to most hospitals. I therefore removed the cutting lines for the "Mother's Day" text before cutting the bottom and lid of the box out of linen textured 250gsm white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo. I then created a mat layer just smaller than the size of the base of the box and cut this out of textured green cardstock. I took the leaf elements that went with each of the flower types and placed them on a single cutting area before cutting out of a green cardstock. The tulips, roses and dafodils were cut out of 250gsm cardstock from two different colours each to give variety to my "bouquet". I then cut out another panel for the back of my box by hand, making it a little smaller than the green panel and cutting it out of an Adorable Scorable cardstock that has a glitter embossed pattern on it. I used a ball tool to give some shape to the petals of all the flowers before sticking them together using a quick grab, clear drying, glue for the roses and dafodils and a brad for the tulips. I then used glue gel to stick everything in place inside the box.
As you can cut out of any coloured cardstock you want, you can make up a bouquet of flowers in the recipient's favourite colours, or if they love just yellow tulips make a complete bouquet of one flower in one colour - or what about making just a big bouquet of red roses as a Valentine's Day keepsake? I think that this is a really versatile cutting file kit and well worth the cost.
