I liked the colours in the example, so I used this as a guide, the background was cut from a sparkly purple card and the foregroud on cream card and then applied this to a cream card blank to match.

I then made small lilac flowers for the corners with a matching diamante stuck in the centre. I used the basis of the front of the card to create a matching sentiment for the inside.
