Dress UpCompleted by Gwyneth George
I took this designer resource digi, together with backgrounds from pack cup334419_927, into one of my graphics packages and resized, moved around, etc., until I had the layout I was happy with afor an 8" square card front, making sure that the area behind the digi was white and making the lines print out in a light brown colour to go with the apricot colours of the backgrounds. On the spare of my A4 working area I put another panel of one of the backgrounds before printing my design off onto 300gsm Super Smooth white cardstock. I trimmed out my card front panel and then coloured in the digi using my Pro Markers. I went around the edge of the panel with a spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. I used the extra panel of backgorund to cut out some flower layers of different sizes using some dies. I also cut some white flower layers using the same dies and tipped the edges of these flowers' petals using the same Distress Ink as previously. I made up an 8" square base card from two sheets of A4 Ivory cardstock and stuck my coloured in card front to this. I used some ball tools to give some shape to my flower layers and stuck them togehter and attached to my card front using glue gel. I finished the card off with some midget gems as embelishments in the flower centres, the necklace round the girl's neck, and at two corners of the card front.
I kept the colours I used on the digi on this card in juted tones to match the background, but used on a different card and it can be coloured in any colour you want. It's a lovely digi to work with.
