Moving... by Janice Shehan

Well, I thought I was moving back up north to Pennsylvania. But my doctor said no go, so since I have already sold my house, Im looking for a place down here in Florida, the sunshine state. I think Ive found a great place just a few miles away in the same town. Its a nice 2 bedroom, 2 bath in a senior community, which is exactly what I am looking for. It even has a club house and swimming pool. Im excited about this home and hope to see it soon.

Its My Ball! by Sue Way

The other day hubby was sorting out the loft and found a couple of his old racketball balls. When he came down he gave them to Billy and Sam to play with. They had a brilliant time with them. running around, play fighting, and playing fetch with them around the house. But then Sam lost his behind the chair. He spent hours trying to persuade me to find it lol He ended up just staring at me. Then Billy came up onto my lap with the other ball so I took this picture. Can you see Sam peeping around looking for Billys ball? Billy is good at outsmarting the pup. These two certainly keep us entertained!

Birthday Lunch by Tina Fitch

Tuesday was my Birthday! I was taken to London for lunch! We went to London steak house and it was just beautiful, the food the service was top notch. I was a bit apprehensive as I dont really like trains especially when they are busy. This covid thing has me worried all the time going places that are packed with people. Some not bothered if theyre not well or not they still travel and to be honest I think its all wrongHowever I had the most amazing time and was spoilt rotten..,Can wait to return they certainly make you feel really wanted I had chicken with braised red cabbage with mash potatoes as you can see it was beautiful, and the prawn cocktail starter was to die for

... Crafty youngest granddaughter, Olivia aged 10, has been crafting again!! This week when she and her younger brother Austin came to play with us it was raining soooo ... we settled down to do some crafting!! Id fetched out a number of things from my crafty stash and after making cards and decorating boxes etc Olivia turned her had to personalising her pink glitter phone case. And what a fabulous job she did too!!

First Residential by Janice McFarlane

I ask you, what a time of year for Alfie to go on his first school residential field trip. Not only that but of all places to the beautiful country of Wales; where it does have a tendency to rain, but having said that the whole of the UK seems to be wet and windy. The area they have gone to is Swansea, and despite the weather seem to be having a great time. When my daughter was packing Alfies Bag, he said to her Mam, Im only going for 5 days. However it wasnt my daughter being over concerned that Alfie had more than required, she only packed what the school requirements were for the trip. When Alfie put his oversized backpack on, he had to try and lean forward slightly so he didnt fall backwards. The only drawback has been his younger brother Harry is missing him, to the point he is sleeping in Alfies bed and wearing his pyjamas. When I spoke to him on the phone I asked him if he was ok. His reply was so cute- Not really, Im missing Alfie, but there is only two more sleeps until he is home. A melted heart moment, even though they will be fighting like a cat and dog within a couple of hours of Alfies return.

40th by Vicki Avcin

Last weekend we got together to celebrate son Brads 40th. His Mum and her partner came down from North Queensland to join in the celebrations. We went to lunch at the Brookwater Golf Club and were joined by his daughter and her partner and his two sons along with his Dad and I and son Paul and his wife. Jarrad a friend also joined us. We were looking forward to a lovely meal as the Golf Course itself (designed by Greg Norman) is classed one of the best in Australia, but we soon found out the restaurant doesnt measure up to that standard. After waiting 15 mins to be shown to the table even though it was prebooked, we then waited half an hour till the meal orders were taken and then an hour for the meals to be brought out. The youngest grandson also had a meal prebooked of steak and chips and he was given steak (cut up) and boiled potatoes!! Most of us couldnt eat the meals so when Jarrad left he spoke to the owner to give some polite feed back. The owner then came to our table and told us to leave and dont come back. We hadnt paid for the meals or drinks and she told us to not bother paying either. To say we were shocked is an understatement. We actually thought she was joking. We wouldve just paid and never gone back but the owner said dont worry about the bill. Anyway we all went back to Brads place and spent a wonderful afternoon with good company, good music and good nibblies……and a delicious mud cake Birthday cake.I guess Brad wont be forgetting his 40th for a while. Its the first time ever for all of us to be kicked out!! We all got a good giggle out of it though and it seems by reviews we arent the only ones that wont be going back.
