Renos Continue by Vicki Avcin

Since finishing off the first 3 rooms of complete renovation of our new place, we have now moved onto the next stage of doing a spare room and the walk in robe. The WIR was very small to the point that if both of us were in there there was barely room to move. There was a room off the kitchen that we are going to turn into a walk in pantry and linen cupboard as there is currently no linen cupboard in the house. The two rooms (pantry and WIR) shared a wall so first thing was to remove that wall and move it to make the WIR bigger. You can see on the photo how much room we gained in there. We couldnt move the wall the full length as the toilet is on the other side at the window end. The linen cupboard will be off the hall and the back of that will be the pantry on the other side. So looking forward to getting the WIR, pantry and linen cupboard done so I can unpack boxes and suitcases and bags and put things away. So the story continues….will update as things progress.

This week I am promoting two of my new uploads of cute little Valentine Bears. Obviously used for Valentines Day but could be for a Birthday, Wedding or Engagement.

Home at Last by Janice McFarlane

Last week I wrote about Alfie being on his school residential, and that Harry his younger brpther was missing him terribly. After a very long 5 days in the eyes of Harry, Friday evening arrived and Harry and my daughter set off to meet the coach. Harry had been very busy colouring in a picture of a Welsh dragon for Alfie to welcome him home from Swansea. As the coach pulled up, Harry was there with his picture shouting out Alfies name. Once back at home a big hug was in order and the delight on Harrys face is plain for all to see, although my daughter was thinking about taking bets as to how long it would be until they would be feuding again, as siblings do.

My ... by Carol Clarke

... Youngest granddaughter, Olivia, was competing in the County Championships Cross Country. It was a horrid cold, wet morning but she and her team mates ran their best. She was part of the under 11 Mansfield Harriers girls team and they won their team race getting a gold medal each! Olivia came 3rd in the individual race and so also got a bronze individual medal too!! She has now got quite a few medals ... but shell have a way to go to beat her Dad, my youngest sons medal total. Hes been winning them since he was her age ... and he still wins a fair few even now!!

Overnight winter wonderland by Judith Henry

No birds at the feeder this morning. Overnight we expected 6-8 inches of snow. Nothing at bedtime. Beautiful clean white snow in the morning. Schools are shut down. I just enjoy from my warm cozy chair. Good day to stay in and make cards. But what to make? Ground hog day is feb 2. Not far away. Onto Valentines Day. Will this melt by then?

Cold and Frosty Morning! by Sue Way

It has been very cold and gloomy this week, but today, even though it was very frosty, the sun came out. It was still freezing cold, but that didnt stop Billy and Sam from splashing in the sea as usual. Crazy pups! The beach looked very pretty with the sun glinting off the sea and frost. The boys were full of energy, but I managed to get Billy to sit long enough to take this lovely picture.
