Our Library is celebrating 10 year Anniversary by Patricia Platt

Our local little library is celebrating their 10 year Anniversary next month. And since our knitting group has been meeting there for 9 years now, they asked if we could contribute to the celebration. So the girls have been busy making squares to turn into a bunting for the celebration and then will turn it into a blanket for Charity afterwards. I thought I might make a few dolls and different things for the top of the shelves. And I finally finished my first doll. I plan on doing several more and having them reading books. :) This is the photo of my first doll. I am going to be a bit busy this month, with all the crocheting, designing, gardening and my dialysis. Next month I can get back to my sock knitting for the nursing staff and possibly do some more things for the neonatal unit at the hospital. Love making things for the babies.

Speaking of Babies, I have some new Baby designs and some cute little cow girl designs, along with some cute baby animal card toppers. Hope you enjoy the designs as much as I do making them. :)

We ... by Carol Clarke

... had the pleasure of another lovely day with our youngest grandchildren whilst their Mum was at work and their Dad (our youngest son) was competing in yet another athletics competition! lol We all had a fabulous day with lots of Crafting (of course! lol) baking salted caramel shortbread (absolutely yummy) and going to the local recreation ground (locally known as The Rec!) and then back to see if the shortbread had cooled, which it had and was yummy, especially with a lovely mug of Hot Chocolate! I dont know who was more tired ... but luckily I just about managed to stay awake to drive them home! Their Dad had had a brilliant day too winning yet more Gold medals in the County championships!! And ... we all get to do it again this coming weekend when he competes in yet another athletics competition! lol

Birthday Time by Vicki Avcin

1st June saw me turn 70. So on Saturday 3rd June I celebrated with close family, my kids, their partners/wife and their kids and hubby of course. We had a wonderful lunch at Pub Lane Tavern with great food and lots of laughs. I was asked what I wanted for my birthday and spending time with the family is the only thing I wanted. Hubby organized a little surprise with the cakes which were so yummo delicious. He had already given me an early birthday present which I wrote about a couple of weeks ago…. A new sewing machine. My kids present to me is a couple of days out at Thredbo doing the whole snow experience but that isnt until the first week of August. I did get a gift card (to buy some snow gear) and a lotto ticket which was a winner (not a lot but better than nothing). So I felt totally spoilt. So it was a wonderful birthday all round.

Todays designs are 2 fishy designs. Perfect for anyone that loves fishing.

Me and my Boy by Sue Way

We quite often have the family over on a Saturday. We have a relaxing afternoon, followed by a takeaway or a simple meal made by us. But whatever it is, its lovely to all sit at the table together and chat over food. Last week we persuaded them all to walk the dogs with us along the prom after dinner. We walked from our house, along the beach to the pier and back. Again we were all chatting and the girls were running along on the sand. There were lots of people about, so it was a lovely holiday atmosphere, even if the weather had forgotten it was summer! And our granddaughter Imogen snapped this lovely picture of Billy and me in front of the sea.

It …. by Carol Clarke

Was the half term holidays here this week and as our youngest grandchildren were off school for the week we were able to have a lovely, if (for us! Lol) time with them. The first thing they wanted to do was of course crafting! Luckily I have rather a lot of craft items soooo …. I can always find something crafty for them to do! They made cards for their friends and decorated key ring blanks for their Mummy and had a fabby time colouring too! After lunch we did some baking, making salted caramel shortbread and whilst it was cooling we popped to the local park …. Luckily the shortbread had cooled when we returned and was yummy! It was 2 quieter children in the back of my car when I drove them home! Lol

Lovely Clovelly by Rachael Dunne

We have just returned from a week away in Devon. Its a heck of a drive from Manchester but well worth the effort! It doesnt seem to matter which way you look down there; every view is like a picture postcard. We were super lucky with the weather, too! This picture was taken on the only cloudy day we had. On this particular day, we were in Clovelly, which is the steepest place Ive ever been to but also possibly the prettiest. My son Arlo thoroughly enjoyed himself on the beach. There were lots of boats anchored on the shore, so he took great delight in putting stones in them - apologies to anyone who has a boat there! My mum did try and remove as many as she could before we left.

Back in Time by Janice McFarlane

After getting over Harrys fun birthday celebrations, my family decided to have a more serious day out to Eden Camp in Yorkshire. Originally a prisoner of war camp, it was built on an agricultural plot on the outskirts of Malton in early 1942. The German and Italian prisoners, housed there were mainly put to work locally in agriculture and they lived in the huts at Eden Camp until 1948, when they were finally released, 3 years after the war had ended. The museum tells the story of The Peoples War, the social history of life in Britain from 1939 to 1945. Each hut covers a different aspect of the war and is accentuated with moving characters, sounds and smells to take the vistors back in time. Whilst my daughter was unsure whether Harry would appreciate the visit, she neednt have worried, Both boys loved it as it was also interactive. What a great way to teach this young generation of this vital and most historic period in time.

Fluffy by Tina Fitch

F-35 shooting up into the sky from take off. Creating the cloudy fluff as he goes. Im amazed I can catch them in the view finder they are so very quick And very noisy too. This F-35 is part of the Valkyries 495th FS based at 48th Fighter Wing RAF Lakenheath where I am always at the fence They just fascinate me I could sit there forever just watching. But life gets in the way sometimes
