Sams Birthday! by Sue Way

Last Sunday our little puppy Sam had his 2nd Birthday! I cant believe how fast its gone. We started the day with a run on the beach so that he could do his favourite thing, which is to swim, swim, swim! Then after lunch, our daughter and granddaughters came armed with lots of teddies. He took all his favourites and hid them behind his bed lol Then he had some more presents from us. He is such a sweet, happy little love. And I think we can definitely say he was a very happy pupster.

Powered Parachute by Vicki Avcin

I was sitting out the back patio this morning enjoying the sun after a couple of cloudy rainy days when I heard a noise coming from somewhere in the sky. We have a lot of noises round here what with hearing the engine testing from Amberley air base, domestic planes, light planes that are training planes, helicopters (army, Lifeflight, Rescue, polair and the odd private chopper) but Id not heard this particular noise before. Then from out behind the trees this thing appeared. I thought it was an ultralight at first but hang on, ultralights dont have parachutes. I quickly snapped a couple of photos and then found out they are actually called powered parachutes. A powered parachute is a personal aircraft with a propeller-driven cart suspended from a parachute, which acts as the wing. The carts can be either three-wheeled or four-wheeled and the engines vary in power from roughly 40 horsepower up to as much 190 horsepower. Not great if you want to get somewhere in a hurry as it was moving quite slowly. I cant imagine sitting in it with the level of noise coming from it. Was something different to see in our skies.

This week Im showing the final two designs in the perfume range

Hell Grow into it! by Janice McFarlane

Its hard to believe my grandson Alfie is going up to high school in September. His final year 6 and Im already feeling emotional like his mum. His school isnt local as such, so he will have to get on the school bus. I think to a degree he has always been within the RAF camp he lives on where his current school is. This is certainly a big step for him but I know he is excited about. As with all high schools there are uniforms to buy, and some garments have to have school colours and logos etc. Last weekend he went shopping with his mum to get the official stuff. One item is the school blazer. Now Alfie is very fit and solid because of all the sports he does, but he has slight shoulders, no hips and spindly legs lol. When my daughter sent me the first photo I did laugh and it was just for fun, the second one is his size and still drowns him but hopefully come September he will have filled out a bit more and he will have grown into it.

AfterBurner by Tina Fitch

Last week catching the F-35 with afterburner was just epic!Dont normally catch it due to them being smaller than the F-15 and so they are higher in the sky before they reach us. Was beautiful weather too well maybe a tad hot. But the haze wasnt too bad for photography that particular day.Im off to vegas for RedFlag in the next couple of weeks so watch out for the Aggressors shots from Nellis AFB. Coming soon
