Rock Solid by Janice McFarlane

After completing a Folk Art course, I deceived to try Tock Painting although to say rocks is probably a misnomer they are large pebbles or cobbles. The beauty is they come in all different shapes and sizes. Some rock art is mind blowing with artists developing the shape to include an fine art animal or scene. Some of the pebbles are painted as kindness stones, with words of inspiration on. The possibilities are endless, and I am in awe of some of the incredible ones Ive seen. I also would like to try mandala dotting on stones too. I have also bought mounds to cast my own rocks and perfect shaped ones for dotting. The rock shown are my first ones which I am really pleased with.

Latest Post Box Topper by Sue Way

So I passed the post box on our dog walk today and noticed it had a new knitted topper. I was so happy as it hasnt had one for a few weeks. But I had to laugh when I saw it. At least it explains why it has been naked! I cant wait to see what they make when the holiday is over. Can anyone guess what it might be? We do have the annual air show coming up, so maybe it will be that? I will keep you posted.

Having a procedure by Patricia Platt

This week on Thursday I will be having a procedure done. I have been on Kidney dialysis for the past year. They used a line in my chest that was inserted into my heart. This was a temporary line and was only to last about a year. And so in January I had an op to put a fistula in my left arm. That had to mature before they could start using it. Well, they started using it in about April and I have had nothing but problems since. It is very painful as apparently I dont have nice straight veins that are close to the surface. Instead mine are zigzagged and hide deep. So the nurses really struggle finding them to do the needling for dialysis. So this Thursday(by the time you read this I will have had the procedure) they are going to do a procedure where they stick a wire in and a balloon to expand the vein and bring it closer to the surface. It is all done as an outpatient, so hopefully no hospital stay. I am really hating staying in hospital. I hope this works as hopefully it will help with the pain and bruising that I experience three days a week when I have my dialysis. I dont know why I have to be one of those weird Medical mystery types of people but I am. Nothing ever seems to go to plan with me. So hopefully this will this time. So I may have a few days where I am unable to do some designs here. Doesnt mean I wont be checking in though. :) I am so addicted to CUP.

So Excited by Vicki Avcin

Only 3 days till my big adventure starts. I will be going down to meet my birth mother, half sister and many cousins and then out to Thredbo to the snow fields. (first time Ill have ever seen snow!) My daughter and son will be coming with me for the trip of a lifetime. I have been chatting non stop with the family and we are all excited as until April this year we never knew we all exsisted. I did my DNA and a whole bunch of people came up as matches. I messaged some of them who in turn messaged their brothers/sisters/kids and slowly we all made contact. To say I opened the proverbial can of worms is an understatement as they had absolutely no idea I existed. My birth mother never said a word to even her brother with only her and her parents knowing the truth. I think I was the best kept secret ever. Well it is all exposed now and Im looking forward to meeting new family.
