We ... by Carol Clarke

... Have had a fabulous summer full of fun, laughter, crafting, baking, walks etc etc etc!! We had the pleasure of having our youngest grandchildren come to play with us every week, and make sure we didnt indulge in an afternoon nap! lol Olivia loves baking so I got to get out my recipes and we made different treats each week with lots for her to take home to share with Mummy, Daddy & Brother plus a few for her friends too! They both love crafting (well ... dont we all! lol) so crafting had to play a big part each week and my crafty stash has taken quite a beating! But the laughter and happiness they brought with them was the best of all. These will be the last two grandchildren (they are our youngest) we get to do this with, which is probably for the best as we have been doing this on and off for over 25 years now, and we cherish each and every minute weve spent with our 6 wonderful grandchildren!!

Orchid Happiness by Vicki Avcin

While living in Hervey Bay, I had a beautiful big King Orchid that would bloom with several flower spikes each year. Before we left I was determined to make sure I brought them with us when we moved. I had to, as carefully as possible, remove them from a palm tree that they were growing on. They came off in 3 pieces and I gave the lovely neighbour (who I might add has the most gorgeous gardens) one of the pieces. I kept the other 2 and they made the move with us. They survived but probably due to the shock they didnt flower last year. So I was overjoyed to see two spikes on one of them this year and eagerly waited for them to bloom. Theyve just finished their gorgeous display and now Im waiting for my Dancing Lady orchids to delight me with the four spikes it has on it. It was attached to a hollow log and was easy to move and has flourished since weve been here. It did bloom last year but with only two spikes, so four this year Im happy with.

This weeks designs are another two of my Aussie Christmas designs.

A new arrival by Amanda Assenbruck

No not a baby, well sort of. Hubby has just taken delivery of a new second hand bike. With this bike i will also be able to go for a ride as it has a very comfy pillion passenger seat. I do need to make sure i get all the gear for riding though as we havent had a bike for two before and i dont have a bike license. I am very much looking forward to my first ride though.

Two of my new Christmas mini kits.

My first ever craft fair stall by Jean King

Last weekend I bit the bullet and actually did my 1st and my 2nd craft fairs.. an outdoor village fair on Saturday and a farmers market on Sunday. I had a blast and the feedback on my crafts and cards was so uplifting.. I have now been offered two farmers market stalls regularly to sell my creations. All the designs I create for CUP I make up into cards, so I have a few to sell. It has been great being back with CUP and designing again. My mojo has returned with a bang and I am loving it.

Saying Goodbye with Happy Memories

by Janice McFarlane

Well Ive had one heck of a fortnight, firstly Bailey my cat was poorly and thats a whole different story, my laptop has been playing up and had to reformat then sadly my daughter contacted me to tell my our Grand-Furbaby Roxy was ill. Shes was 13 and until the last week was ok but a little slower. Last week she took a turn for the worse. After a couple of trips to the vets and blood tests it was revealed she had pancreatitis and diabetes. The vet said the could operate to spay her and then put her on insulin for the rest of what life she had left or the alternative. After deliberation it was decided to let her go to sleep as it was felt she was ready. Whilst devastating for the family as a whole it was best to end her suffering. Roxy was a most loving and gentle dog. My grandchildren had never know life without her and indeed she was well loved by everyone at RAF Benson who sent so many messages. Even one of my daughters children who she minds made her a card with such a sweet message. So heres to Roxy who brought so much joy to everyone who has now journeyed over the Rainbow Bridge.

Its Autumn! by Sue Way

I must admit that I am not a lover of Autumn and Winter. Living by the sea I prefer Spring and Summer. The east coast wind can be brutal when the summer ends. But I do love the new post-box topper. It replaces the Back to School topper and it is really cute. It has been made to celebrate Autumn. I love the little Hedgehog in its nest of leaves and acorns.

Beautiful Rouen by Carol Dunne

We have recently returned from a cruise around the British Isles which also called into the Scilly Isles and also sailed down the River Seine as far as Rouen in France. Unfortunately we had sea fog when we reached the Scilly Isles but we still managed to get ashore to see Tresco Gardens. We must return when the weather is better. We were rewarded by cruising down the beautiful river Seine and also to visit the fabulous city of Rouen with its half timbered buildings. A wonderful city which is now on my go back to list.
