Finished! by Vicki Avcin

Our renovations have taken another step forward with the completion of the walk in robe. The photos show the original when we purchased the house and what it is today. We moved the left hand wall out by about half a metre and it gave us so much more room. Hubby (and me) built all the cabinetry apart from the two sets of drawers which we purchased as flat paks. Only one of the sets turned up as Australia Post managed to lose one of the four boxes so we had to wait 6 weeks for the missing box to be resent. That was what was holding us up or wed have been finished 4 weeks ago. I had to have my little make up nook and the whole room was custom built from scratch. Today weve been moving our clothes in and finally I can hang dresses up full length and heaps of room for blouses now. I just love how big it is and how much storage space we have on top too. I was asked when we started to do it if we were putting a chandelier in and after thinking about it I thought why not. So I found the most gorgeous little chandelier looking light shade and it just suits the room perfectly.

This week are two more of my Doggy Christmas designs.

An unexpected visitor by Amanda Assenbruck

When i went to feed the chooks this morning i found an unexpected visitor. A possum has managed to get locked in the chook pen last night or just managed to get in and decided to stay for the day. He was most upset that i had awakened him as they are nocturnal. My chooks are not very happy that he is asleep in their hutch and had laid the eggs on the floor!

I havent ever seen snow and with how hot it is going to be here the next few days i might like to be a snowman!

Getting Organised by Janice McFarlane

Ive mentioned so many times before my love of crocheting. Its what I do every evening watching TV. Its my relaxation and also a sense of achievement when I finish a project. Whilst I dont write patterns, I can design some things myself and I write them down in a fashion I can understand. When I crochet I always have so much stuff around me from multiple pairs of scissors, row counter, hooks, sewing needles etc., I invariably lose items or the slip down the side of my sofa never to be seen again. Ive tried different organisers but none really suited me, so the only thing to do was to crochet one myself to suit my needs. It needed multiple pockets outside for easy access and pockets inside for other things I use but not every day. I also made a little pocket on the underside of the lid for my tape measure and the lid itself is a massive pincushion. At last I have everything at easy access and all in one place.

I finaly finished it! by Sue Way

After a few weeks of loss of confidence, sickness, not having large enough fabric pieces, procrastinating, etc, etc. I finally finished my most challenging bag to date. I have made simple bags so far, but wanted to push myself to the next level. This was my first time making a bag using vinyl, with a zip, and inner pockets. Well, here she is! I give you my Baker Street bag. I am so happy with how it turned out, I cant stop looking at it! I used it when we went out for Sunday lunch for our sons birthday and I felt so proud with it on my shoulder. I cant wait to see what else I can do. What shall I make next?
