We ... by Carol Clarke

... had a fabby day with our youngest grandchildren, Olivia and Austin, last weekend … and we did some crafting, played board games. Then as it was cold we had hot chocolate with marshmallows …. but also had to have ice creams too!?! Lol But the highlight for 11 year old Olivia was the baking! She soooo loves to bake! This time we made cheese scones …. and they were soooo delish warm with butter! She took some home with her and insisted that Daddy (who doesnt eat anything sweet and so mostly misses out on her homemade baking treats) had one! He loved it said it was very very tasty!

My little helper by Sue Way

During our afternoon walk the other day, the weather was quite mild for the time of year, so I took off my hat and gloves. My lovely Golden Retriever, Billy, seemed eager to help and snuggled my hand. I soon realized that he wanted to carry my hat. He took it and carried it all the way home. Although it was a bit slobbery, I love him so much for being such a good helper.

Graduation by Vicki Avcin

Last week our Grandson Zac had his Year 12 Formal and Graduation. It was an honour and a privilege to be able to celebrate with him.On Wednesday the school hosts the family before the kids all board a bus to be taken to their formal. The kids arrive in the fanciest cars and get out to walk the red carpet into the school quadrangle. Zac arrived in his Dads Mustang (Dad driving). We then all went into the school and the Hospitality students had Antipasto trays and soft drinks for everyone to nibble on. We were then treated to Chinese Dragons dancing their way through the crowd to spread Good Luck to all the Graduates. The kids had photos taken before they boarded their Mystery Trip bus for the night. First up they went to have their formal dinner in the City and then they change into normal clothes and go to various entertainment venues through the night till the next morning when they return to the school. (Ice skating, White Water World and Im not sure what the last one was). They have Thursday off (to recover) and then Friday morning they have their Graduation ceremony where they get their certificates and finally leave the school through a guard of honour by the rest of the school. This is the first grand child where we have been able to attend as the first two were during Covid so parents/family werent able to attend. So proud of our boy Zac. Congratulations. PS. This is the same little Zac that appeared in a couple of my tutorials when he was about 4 years old!

Laundering Bailey to MGM by Janice McFarlane

Bailey my cat appears to love the bathroom. A couple of weeks ago I wrote about him finding him snuggled in the bathroom cupboard after pulling out the towls to accommodate him. Recently I was surprised when going into the bathroom where I have a two tiered laundry cupboard with portholes to find two distinctive Bailey ears just visible, then on closer inspection Baily quite happily sitting in the laundry bin. Then it take made me laugh when he raised up and popped his head through the porthole meowing, which reminded me of the MGM lion we often see at the beginning of some of the older movies. He never ceases to make me laugh.
