Letter to Santa by Janice McFarlane

Well the big day is nearly here and the Christmas madness begins. Houses decorated with enough lights to outshine Blackpool illuminations, and children writing letters to Santa. My youngest grandson is no exception. Amidst the tree going up, Harry is in full throws of writing his letter to Santa. What struck me was the sheer concentration when writing his letter. Then off to the nearby shop with mum to post his letter in a very special postbox, with all mail going directly to the North Pole.

Where has the time gone? by Tina Fitch

The years just fly past. My twin granddaughters turned 14 on the 29th November. This photo was taken on their 6th Birthday all them years ago on a Nanny day out at the school Christmas fete I just cant get over the fact they are now young ladies and not my babies anymore.. They still love a nanny day out due to the fun we have. Just like we did back then. What happens on nannies watch stays at nannies hahahaI miss those days when they were younger they said some funny things and always made me laugh. Nowadays its grown up talk Anyway thats my news this week..

Welcome Summer by Vicki Avcin

Today is officially the first day of Summer down here in Oz. The weather doesnt know what it wants to do as weve already had days in the high 30 degrees and they tell us there is more to come. Yesterday after a hot day we had our first half decent storm and even had small hail. The other day the sun had a huge halo around it . Old wives tale is that it means massive rain is coming. We got 19mm of rain from the storm so wouldnt say its massive rain but it was the third lot of rain this week with rain total of 66.7mm so for this time of year that is significant. So apart from having green grass that with the sun it has grown and time to get the mower out again, the plants have loved the rain. Two of my orchids are now flowering, the desert rose is flowering and the crepe myrtle (commonly called Christmas bush) is also flowering so the garden is looking gorgeous at the moment. Best of all the water tanks are full. We dont know what will happen through summer rain wise, so having full tanks means free water (we do have trickle fed town water but we have to pay for what we use) so its always good when the tanks are full.

This weeks designs are both from my Centre Cutout collection. Check out all the designs in this collection.

Brrrrrr ..... by Carol Clarke

..... weve had a few cold and frosty mornings!!! It might look nice on Christmas cards and in movies ... but c-c-c-c-cold mornings arent as nice when you need to go out and have to scrape the car windscreen before setting off!! lol Then, although its lovely to have the sunshine, it does make driving into it hazardous .... and even walking into it can be a bit of a problem too! lol But with a peaked cap and a little time spent on the car before setting off it does make for some picturesque scenery. And as we live in the countryside with fields that stretch for miles at the bottom of our garden we have lots of lovely scenes to see!

Socks by Patricia Platt

This pair is almost finished. I just have the toe to do on them. They are for one of my nurses at dialysis. I will start another pair for Lea and then Gracy next. Then I will need to check my list for the other nurses. They are keeping me busy. I did have a bit of good news this week. My fistula is going strong and has healed up. I learnt where the needle goes and tell the nurses so now they dont blow my vein, which can be painful and bruises my arm. The surgeon said he is happy that it is doing well and strong. That means no more surgery at the moment. Which is brilliant.

Weeeee! by Sue Way

My hubby had to have a small op on the veins in his legs, which meant I had to walk the dogs alone. This is hard for me as Sam is a puller on the lead. So I booked a secure, private field. All I had to do was pop them in the car, drive there and let them out. When I opened the gate and said to them Whats in here? they looked so surprised and excited. Then off they went, running, rolling, sniffing and doing zoomies, with the biggest smiles on their faces. Two very happy boys! We will be going a few more times until hubby is well enough to join us at the park. This week I have added a few new Christmas money wallets. Perfect for cash, vouchers and small gifts. I will be adding a few more, in time for those last-minute gifts.
