Little Kitchen Helper! by Rachael Dunne

This weekend weve been renovating our kitchen... ourselves! We did have someone due to fit it for us before Christmas but he let us down last minute. Aaaargh! So, we got a plumber to sort the water pipes and drainage out for us and decided to tackle the rest of it ourselves. Were getting there and its not looking too bad, but its slow going as we can only do a bit at a time at weekends. Thankfully, we have the worlds keenest and possibly one of the littlest kitchen helpers on the case. If nothing else, hes provided us with entertainment as we work!

Thanks for taking a look at my new designs! xx

Meet Cookie! by Sue Way

My daughter and her family decided that they were ready to introduce a new dog into their family, so they started looking at rescue sites. They came across one dog who was in a rescue center in the next town, so they went to visit her. They really liked her, but they wanted both of their daughters to see her before they made up their minds. Well, both girls fell in love with her, and she was so comfortable and loving with them that a few days later, they brought her home for a trial. She made herself at home straight away. The rescue center said that they would be fostering her until she gets spayed, and then, if my daughters family wants to, they can adopt her permanently. So fast forward a few weeks to tomorrow, which is her spay day. And we can safely say that this little girl has won everyones hearts and will definitely be adopted by them. So, without further ado, meet little Cookie, who is a 3-year-old Shih Tzu, Jack Russel, Poodle cross and is one hundred percent cute!

We ... by Carol Clarke

... had a lovely day with our youngest grandchildren last week. It was an inset day from school (Im sure we used to call them Governors holidays! lol Sooo, of course, our youngest granddaughter, Olivia, wanted to do some baking! This time we tried our hand at making Chocolate Brownies ... and they turned out really well! Shes a real girly girl and whilst the brownies were baking and cooling what does a girly girl do other than do her nails with a Gel nail set she had for Christmas! lol

Throwback to Bailey by Janice McFarlane

After nursing a painful pinched nerve in my arm for the last couple of days, I was just having a skim through my photo library on my phone, of which there is a lot. I came across a selection of photos of my Seal Point Ragdoll cat Bailey when he was a kitten. It did make me smile a lot as he has changed so much and also just how mischevious he was and still is. His facial features have changed in as much as when they are kittens his creamy coloured fur was light hence his name Bailey, because it reminded my of the drink Baileys Irish cream. And the chocolate brown on his face was just a smudge round his nose, and now his whole face is brown. I still remember walking into the bathroom of my old house and finding him curled in a plastic bowl, and he fitted so well in it. Just looking at these made me smile so much and took my mind of the discomfort Im feeling at the moment.

Every man and his ...... by Vicki Avcin

Dog………well 2 dogs and a goat! We were driving up the street and I had to look twice. Someone walking up the footpath with 2 dogs on a lead and a goat. I guess thats what happens in a rural area. However all was revealed later that day when a post was put on Facebook. Our Thursday night Lotto which is Powerball was jackpotted to $200 million. It seems everyone wants to be in the draw and one of the locals and his pets wanted to be in the draw too. So off he went with both his dogs and the goat in tow. Maybe the goat whos name is Zeus won it because we didnt win but someone from SE Qld was one of two winners but it was an unregistered ticket and they havent come forward yet to claim their win. The other winner was a registered ticket from NSW and she got the call letting her know last night. How cool would it be to get a call saying youd won $100million!
