My ... by Carol Clarke

... youngest granddaughter, Olivia, was competing in the in the Notts Schools Cross Country championship in the Year 7 girls category. She came second and got the silver Medal and her friend Evie came 1st and got the gold Medal!! Both Olivia and Evie train and run for the Mansfield Harriers Club but go to different schools. Considering how many starters there were for this race (I never did manage to count them all!) and that there were girls representing all of Nottinghamshire, it was sooo amazing that they placed 1st and 2nd!!

MY VALENTINE TREE by Wanda Lipski

We have had the most fabulous christmas tree, that has refused to lose its needles or go droopy, threatening to drop all my precious glass balls onto the floor where they could so easily become glass confetti. On the 31st January I finally decided that I could not longer sport red and green garlands and bling but was totally against throwing out the tree. So I have transformed it, into a VALENTINE TREE. I have made my own love ornaments which are all available on cup, and with an evening of easy cutting, folding and glueing have transformed my tree, swopping the red and gold garlands for silver ones. My husband loves it, and hopefully it will last until I redecorate the tree for easter? Lets upcycle !!!

... had another lovely day with our youngest grandchildren last weekend. We picked them up early-ish and brought them back to our house where we all had breakfast before setting out again, this time to go to the park, where they had a great time! Then back to ours for elevenses .,,, played board games till lunch ... followed by baking ... crafting ...ice cream ... hot chocolate, eating the cakes (which were delicious!) ... etc etc etc!! I was shattered by the time they went home .... but wed had a great fun filled day!!

A Space Odessa Throwback by Janice McFarlane

Looking through photos on my phone I came across one of Alfie that sparked a happy memory. Back in 2017 Alfie was 5 and staying with us overnight. He always loved to make things and back in the day when I had craft room we were going to do something. At the time Alfie loved space and planets, so we decided to do a galactic canvas. We painted the canvas black and then had a lot of fun spattering paint to create stars and comets. Once dry we cut out planets and a rocket to stick on our galaxy canvas. He loved it and it brought back a very happy memory.
