… Beautiful Misty Morning!! Im up and about early most mornings … and sometimes I am rewarded by beautiful sunrises …. but this week the view from the back window of our house was quite different and rather beautiful! We have a beautiful view with fields and a valley, then on the horizon theres the M1 motorway with more fields beyond. The mist was rising from the fields and valleys with the lights on the motorway shining through the mist …. The beauty ofIt took my breath away!!

Iron Man to the Rescue by Janice McFarlane

Ever since being diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia in March my own crafting other than designing and crochet has had to change. I am limited to what I can realistically do because of how the chemo meds affect me. I have to think of things I can do sitting down with just a small lap table to work on. I had been watching a lot of YouTube videos and came across a number of channels who craft and make items on a 1/6th scale intended for 11.5 in fashion dolls like Barbie. Now I already have a love of dolls and have some and I thought this would be ideal for me. Now I can crochet clothes because Ive done that before, I can sew and make miniature stuff. I was inspired by all the videos, making things from stuff like caps and cardboard, foam board and general things you may have lying around. So I started to collect bits and pieces I bought some second hand Barbie dolls to restore and restyle even re-root hair which Ive done before. The bundle I bought had lots of clothes, but had seen better days but some just needed a good wash, which my fab hubby did. Not only that he ironed them all without me asking as he knew I wouldnt be able to. He stood and ironed all the small clothes for me. Part of my plan is to make some good for charity and others to sell for doll collectors. My hubby is definitely my Iron Man.

Hornet by Tina Fitch

I had a day out this week to RAF Waddington where they were in exercise and the Hornets from Canada were in townAlong with the finish F18s and the Poland F16s. Had a lovely day watching them launching and landing. It was a long drive there and back 6 hours round trip but was well worth the travelling.I doubt they will be back anytime soon. So was great to catch them with my lens

A Day Out by Helen Howell

A week ago we took a trip to Healesville Sanctuary, its a wildlife Sanctuary for Australian native animals and birds. We were lucky with the weather and the sun shone down for us. It has been many years since I had visited this place and it was obvious that they had done some really good changes. It was a pleasure to walk around and see the various animals, Koalas, Echidna, Tasmanian Devils to mention a few and of course lots and lots of our native birds. I especially enjoyed Spirits of the Sky, where we got to watch some of these birds including an Eagle in flight.

A little break by Sue Way

A few weeks ago hubby and me took a weekend break to a caravan in Suffolk. Of course, our Golden Retrievers Billy and Sam came too. It was very relaxing, with lots of lovely walks on our favourite beaches. The caravan was a good size, but unfortunately, they dont make the seating very comfortable and the TV is tiny. Luckily we took out camping chairs so we ended up sitting on those. But how can you complain when the sun is shining and you have a sea view out of the bedroom window?
