You can also print the pattern sheets onto Cricut printable vinyl and sticker paper sheets.

Here is a convertible / interchangeable easel tabletop photo frame for the new 2x3" instant print photos out on the market, that change to a brooch lapel pin button badge, that can also change to a hanging tree ornament! The design my Queen of Hearts gold crown tiara scattered, repeat pattern with 3 printables, periwinkle blue, navy blue violet, and lilac wisteria background print, by me, Kristie Hubler, with heart shape diamonds and pearls, created for my customer's dog Queenie's fabric photo frame, copyright protected in October 2001. Also, a crown is printed on the inside panel of the frame, showing through the picture window, in case, you don't want to put a photo or art printable inside the frame. Its a great alternative to "keep calm and carry on" lol. Very British, and great for any queen or princess, for a birthday party, or any party, reception, event, or shower, use as party favors, name place card frames for dinners, hang and use as a Christmas holiday tree ornament. Insert a name and use as a wearable, a name badge at seminars, events, conferences, or put your favorite person, or even artwork inside.

These frame pin ornaments can be used as an alternative to greeting cards, table cards for dinner parties or holiday meals, party, wedding, or shower favors and place card frames, name badges, gift tags, and hanging holiday / Christmas ornaments! Frame is 3x4" overall size when finished / assembled.

And, the design is printed on the front panel, and the design is printed on the easel back, as well as the front strut leg panel that both face out on the back. Only the inside facing frame front border that backs the front panel, and the inside facing easel back and inside facing strut leg panel that backs the printed design on the front facing strut leg panel, are blank, or solid color.

Panel 3 that shows through the picture window which is 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" overlapping the photo's edges by 1/4" or 6mm all around, can have words handwritten, centered on the panel part.

The easel strut leg is attached with Velcro / hook & loop at its top, and the bottom right corner, to the easel back panel, with Velcro / hook & loop and the ribbon that extends from the bottom right corner of the strut leg, the length's other end's tip is folded in twice, hot glued, and Velcro / hook & loop attach the ribbon tail to the easel back, making the strut leg removable / replaceable.

There are 4 holes on the easel back, 2 are for threading ribbon through to hang the frame pin as an ornament, the other 2 holes are centered vertically, for the metal brooch pin back, 1 1/4" long or 35mm long, sold in the supply section at Craftsuprint, and the holes hold the brooch pin back's 2 mechanisms' ends in place, and are for changing out / replacing the metal brooch pin, or you can do that from the front, because those 2 holes are on the panel behind the easel back panel, along with the 2 holes for the ribbon hanging as an ornament, plus the 7 holes on panel 3, or inside easel back panel. On panels 2 & 3, there are 7 holes in a U shaped line, that you will thread 1/8" or 3mm wide ribbon 2 feet long, or 2/3 meter long, to connect the 2 panels to make the photo pocket inside. Panel 2 backs the front panel, or front of the frame. You can even add Velcro or hook & loop to the top of the photo pocket opening between panels 2 & 3, so that the photo and its protective photo sleeve, an acid free, clear, sheet protector page cut to the size of a photo, you can cut up to 10 photo sleeves from one sheet protector page 2x3" size. Just make sure the pages' packaging is labeled "acid free". Its available in the US at Target, Walmart, and Walgreens for under $5 for 50 pages, but you can check where your area sells office supplies and stationery.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

1 sheet of A4 size paper card stock

3 lengths of ribbon:

one length ribbon 1/8" or 3mm wide by 2 feet or 2/3 meter long for making photo pocket

one length ribbon 3/8" up to 1" or 6mm up to 25mm wide by 1 feet" or 1/3 meter long for hanging ornament ribbon

one length ribbon 3/8" up to 1" or 6mm up to 25mm wide by 9" or 23cm long for connecting strut leg to easel back

acid free, clear, sheet protector page - up to 10 2x3" photo sleeves

Velcro or hook & loop 1 foot or 1/3 meter by 3/4in or 18mm wide

one 1 1/4" or 35mm long metal bar style brooch pin back, sold in pack on Craftsuprint

optional:

clear vinyl

Therm or Web iron on clear vinyl, sold at Hobbycrafts and Barnyarns, enough to cover sheet on both sides

laminate sheet, enough to cover both sides

optional, for WASHABLE, sewn, or no sew, fabric photo frame pin ornaments:

one sheet of washable, colorfast, inkjet printer fabric, I recommend June Tailor or Prym Printed Treasures brands

piece of Therm or Web HeatnBond Ultrahold for no sew, or HeatnBond Lite or Featherlite for sewing, iron on, paper backed, fabric adhesive, at Hobbycrafts and Barnyarns, sold in one yard package and 5 yard or 4.6 meter rolls - enough to cover the back of the inkjet fabric - this keeps the edges crisp and straight, and allow for the frame to stand on a table or shelf, as the Ultrahold is stiff when dry, so it helps the frame keep its form to stand upright.

6 panel parts fit onto one sheet as a printable. They are the:

design printed frame front border (ffb) panel (front of the frame) - panel 1

2nd inside frame front border (ffb) panel - panel 2

design printed inside facing easel back (eb) panel - panel 3

design printed easel back panel - panel 4

inside facing strut leg panel - panel 5

design printed strut leg panel - panel 6

These are labeled, with some instructions printed onto the printable sheet. In the download are photo & text step by step instructions, as well as some ideas for the frames, in photos, plus links to buy the supplies online.

All you'll need is a printer, scissors, a paper trimmer can make things go faster for the card stock panels and the clear sheet protector page, a quality, handheld, craft hole puncher, fabric scissors for the ribbon, maybe 4 or 4 hot glue sticks and a low temp hot glue gun. All the lines to cut away excess or fold seam allowance flaps under, circle holes to hole punch or cut out, and guidelines are on the sheet that is printed.

If you decide to make the frame pin ornaments with fabric, you'll need an iron, I also use one of those mini irons, but you can use a regular, household iron, you'll need it for the Therm or Web HeatnBond, a roll of thread 2500m because a small roll may not do the trick lol, plus you'll get a lot of frames out of the big thread roll, and a good pair of pointy, sharp, embroidery like fabric scissors because you'll be cutting out a lot of holes, and a hole puncher may be a bit much on arthritic hands. I can cut out all the holes within 1/2 hour, so you put on something nice on tv, youtube, or the radio, that is soothing while you do it lol. Fiskars makes a non stick pair of embroidery scissors, so you can save your nice, Gingher scissors for real embroidery or sewing lol.

The whole project shouldn't take more than 2 hours, if that. You can have a frame pin ornament making party!

Thank you!
