Here is one way to make simple and easy rope stitch bracelets, single threaded.

Steps

  1. Start with the thread. You want to cut the end of your thread at an angle, and carefully get it into the needle hole. Then pull it through about five or six inches.

  2. Tie the other end in a simple knot. Do that a couple of times so that the knot is a couple of times bigger. Now that your done, cut it, but leave a little bit of space.
  3. Now you can take your shoelace and thread. Burn its end ever so slightly(so it will not unravel).
  4. Pierce your shoelace, and pull through until the knot stops it.
  5. Now it's time to get your beads out. I'm going to do a very simple design, where I will switch back and forth between three colors (but you can do yours any way you please).
  6. Once you've got your needle through the beads, slide them down to the shoelace. Now wrap it around. Make sure that it is nice and flat and it doesn't get bumpy (Or else it will feel funny when you wear it)
  7. Now that you have it at about the length you want it, knot it again. Wrap your thread around the rope/shoelace about two and a half times, then knot it once. After this, go diagonally through the shoelace five rows of beads back. Now when you come up, knot it and double it like in step 2.
  8. The finishing touch, add the safety pin to your new bracelet.
  9. Finished.

Warnings

  • When you burn the thread, don't do it too long, otherwise it will do this loopy thing.
