One of the most fantastic things about making jewelry is that you can rely on the beauty of the beads you choose and make something really lovely. You don't have to learn lots of tricky techniques. This tutorial is aimed at people who have never made jewelry before. It would also be a great activity to do with children.
Steps
-
Thread the beads onto the cord in any order you like. Leave the cord on the roll at this stage so your beads don't drop off.
-
When you think you have enough beads on the cord, try the bracelet around your wrist for size. When you are happy, cut the cord, giving you plenty of length at each end to tie a knot.
-
Tie the ends in a double or triple knot. Put a dab of PVA glue on the knot and leave it to dry.
-
Trim the ends of the cord when the glue has dried. Close the knot, and there you have it- your very own bracelet.
Things You'll Need
-
- Some clear magic stretchy beading cord. Be sure the cord fits through the holes in your beads. 1 mm cord was used in this tutorial.
- PVA glue.
- Scissors.
