Rave bracelets are a fun token to give/receive at raves, and can enhance your experience by helping you connect with other ravers. Rave bracelets are often given out to first time ravers or to make someone feel accepted into the culture.
Steps
-
Get supplies. You will need lots of beads and a sturdy elastic string. Find beads that are 'rave' colors such as pink, orange, yellow and purple, and various shapes and sizes. The brighter the beads are, the better.
Â
-
Cut the string into about 6" segments; tie a bead to the end of the string and then string the rest of the beads along it until you just have enough room to tie the string.
-
Tie the string. Make sure to tie a double or even triple knot as you don't want the beads to become undone.
-
Wear the bracelets up your arm and distribute to fellow rave girls (and even boys) as desired!

Tips
- For some extra fun, make the bracelets themed to the event you're going to. Buy some letter beads and add words such as "Peace", "Love", "Unity", "Respect", and/or "Responsibility" to bracelets. Using the name of the event or one of the DJ's you are seeing is also a good idea to make the bracelets more meaningful.
- Get UV beads or beads that glow in the dark, as these beads will have a cool effect with the black lights often seen at raves.
- If you get more into it, consider other designs such as ladder, phattie, multi, 3d cuff, and peyote.

Warnings
- Make sure you understand the cultural meaning of Kandi in and out of raves if you decide to wear a lot.
- Sometimes police can consider an excess of Kandi to be probable cause to search you for drugs. Keep this in mind.
