Looms can be fun to craft weaving or crochet projects on, but they can be expensive. This is how to make a cheaper one.
Steps
-
Take a 16" piece of wood and clamp it to your work bench.
- Place the 11" pieces of wood on top of the 16" so that it forms a open rectangle. The corners should all be right angles.
- Drill two holes in the corners. They should be diagonal from each other. Repeat this all the way around. Do the top right corner first.
- Take two pieces of dowel and cover them with glue. Stick them in the holes you drilled earlier with the hammer. Wipe off any extra glue. Let the glue sit overnight before doing the next step.
-
Take your 12" board and sand the edges. This is the thing that catches any loose threads.
Tips
- You may want to put down a board under the 16" board because there will be drilling involved.
