Did you just get some old stuff from your uncle's? Well, you've got the greatest hand-made pinball machine that marbles can buy! And it's free!
Steps
-
Cut the top off an old shoe box.
-
Use a Sharpie to draw goofy patterns in the long side of the box (the one without that weird hole). (e.g., doors, cacti, holes, clouds that float (don't touch the ground), etc., etc., etc.!)
-
Cut along the lines to make holes and doors and all that other stuff.
-
Write numbers above each hole. The bigger the hole, the smaller the number should be.
-
Shoot marbles through the holes to get more marbles to use. (The other player gives them to you.) The number of marbles depends on the number above the hole you shot it through.
-
If you miss completely, you give that marble to the other player.
-
See if you can come up with your own wacky rules!
-
Finished.
Tips
- If you make a door, only cut off the sides that are not going to be the hinges.
- You can add obstacles to make it more exciting and fun! (e.g., green army guys.)
Warnings
- Check and make sure it's okay to use the stuff before you build it. Not after.
- If you don't clean up the mess afterward, things could get ugly with Mom.
- Please don't let your younger siblings eat the marbles!
