This is a fantastic idea that you can do at a sleepover with a friend, if you are bored, or whenever you feel like it. Read on for the details.
Steps
-
Get a plain white pillowcase that looks boring and just needs to be creatively designed.
-
Get some markers. Not paint or pencils. That would not work. Try fabric markers, they will last longer.
-
Get a piece of cardboard that is as big as the pillowcase and slide it inside the pillowcase. This is to avoid the marker leaking onto the other side,or going all splotchy.
-
When you have the cardboard in, just smooth out the pillowcase and make sure there are no creases.
-
Now, just get your markers and write stuff all over it, and draw anything you want.
Tips
- Write random words, like: Potassium, rainbow, snake, popcorn, etc.
- It works way better with a friend, because you can sign each others pillowcases and write all over each others.
- Write the date and time you started and time you finished.
- Swap the pillowcases for a few minutes and get your friends to draw stuff on yours.
- Try doing your autograph in the end corner.
Warnings
- Remember, if it goes in the washing machine, the hard work is ruined. (but you can always start over)
- Be careful what markers you use. permanents are best because some markers will go all splotchy when you sleep on the pillow.
- When you sleep, you sweat, when you sweat, ink runs, ink runs on your face. Be prepared for some unwanted make up in the morning!
