Steps
- Purchase a good quality tote bag. Alternatively you could make your own tote bag to use.
- Purchase photo transfer paper for your printer.
- Choose the photo or picture that you would like to use. This can be whatever tickles you imagination.
- Print a preview on some regular paper to be sure the picture comes out the way you are envisioning. Make adjustments to your picture until it is just right.
- Cut out the photo or photos and place them on the bag.
- Move them around until it is just right, remember that the pictures will be a mirror image of the original.
- Use a photo editing software to flip the image so it appears just like the original when applied to the tote.
- Print the photo on the transfer paper. When you are sure that everything is just right, print onto your transfer paper.
- Carefully cut out your design leaving about 1/4 inch (6mm).
- Turn on your iron. Put it on it's highest setting, and turn off steam.
- Place your tote and transfer onto an ironing board. Alternatively you can use just about any hard surface that provides feedback allowing you to use more leverage on the tote.
- Peel the paper and admire your handiwork.
