Only a perfectly stretched screen can give perfect prints ! Like all filaments / fibers, be it a guitar or clothes line, it does not stretch to its optimum at one go- a gap of a few minutes is absolutely essential. Manually it is impossible to stretch fabric and mount a frame perfectly as a machine can. To stretch the fabric two or three times, giving an intermediate break is just not possible manually.
Steps
- Clamp the fabric down on the screen printing frame stretching machine.
- Raise the frame by the machine, thereby stretching the fabric.
- Repeat three times for polyester and more for nylon and silk. This operation has to be repeated at least thrice for polyester fabric and more for nylon or silk screens.
-
Glue the fabric and remove from the machine.
- You now have a perfectly stretched screen for perfect print results without loosening as you print!
Warnings
- If you are using 'cynoacrylate' that's the name of the chemical, please be careful as it sticks to skin instantly!
