In this article you will learn how to tie dye your items cheap rather than buying a kit at the store.
Steps

Find the middle of a plain shirt or other cloth item and put a golf ball in it. Flip the shirt over along with the golf ball, tighten the shirt toward the golf ball, and wrap a rubber band around it tightly. Repeat this as much as you want, making it look kind of like a snowman. You can use more than two or three golf balls.

Color the different sphere-shaped parts with different colors of permanent marker. Try to use 2 or more colors.

Go outdoors with a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol and spray all the colors with it.

Cut off the rubber bands with scissors.

Unfold, let dry, and enjoy!
Tips
- Before washing shirt or other cloth material, iron it on high.
Warnings
- When spraying alcohol on cloth, do not let it get into your mouth, eyes ,or nose. The following tells first aid if not severe. If alcohol is sprayed directly into eyes, contact a poison control center immediately.
- If in eyes: Lay on your side and rinse warm (not hot) water slowly over the eye
- If in nose: Rinse with water on a cloth, and a cloth only.
- If in mouth: Rinse mouth with water or soap.
