Do you have a lot of old plastic eggs that are no longer in use? Perhaps it's time to let your creative side shine and create a work of art!
Steps
-
Find a plastic egg. Maybe you have some old eggs sitting around. If not, go to the store and buy some. Plastic eggs do not usually cost too much. Any color or style of egg will work, choose whatever type of egg you want to work with.
-
Gather your supplies. Use anything you want to decorate the egg. Ideas include feathers, felt, eyes, ribbon, buttons, stickers, or paint. However, don't use anything that will be hard to glue or put on the egg because it will most likely fall off later on.
-
Decorate the egg. You can have the egg look anyway you want. If you're out of ideas, try designing a plastic egg to look like your favorite movie, TV show, or book character.
-
Attach accessories. If you need to glue on buttons or eyes, use a hot glue gun or rubber cement. Rubber cement glue works best if you don't have access to a hot glue gun because it dries fast.
-
Wait for your creature to dry. Don't move the egg for about 5-10 minutes. Remember, you don't want all of your hard work to fall off the egg and get ruined.
Tips
- Give the egg you made to a friend as a gift. Or, even better, design an egg that looks like your friend!
- Don't worry too much about tiny details, it's the overall product that counts.
Warnings
- Be careful if you decide to use a hot glue gun. It is very easy to get burned if you're not paying attention to what you're doing.
