Have you ever wondered how to make larger bubbles? Well here is an inexpensive and easy way to make a bubble wand and use it.
Steps
-
Get two straws and a long piece of string.
-
Thread the string through one straw and then the other. Now you have two straws on a long piece of string.
-
Tie two ends of string and together in a loop. Now you have a giant loop with two straws on it.
-
Hold one straw in each hand and stretch them apart until the string forms a rectangle. Use the straws as handles and dip the bubble wand into the bubble solution.
-
Pull the wand out quickly and evenly, but not too fast. Get in position.
-
Hold the wand with the rectangle vertically, one hand over the other. Quickly pull the moving part to around the middle of the wand, and give it a slow swing.
-
Close the bubble at the end by moving the part back to its place before it pops.
-
Look at that bubble!
Tips
- Don't try it on a windy day. It won't work.
- Have a large tray or dish pan to hold the bubble liquid.
- It might not work the first time you try it, so keep trying.
- Wave it gently up and down to complete the bubble. If you do it too harshly, the bubble will pop.
- It helps if you have really good bubble liquid to make the bubbles with.
- You need to get all the speeds just right, or the soap will fall off, or the bubble will pop.
