Making a rainshaker is as simple as making a sandwich! All it requires is a bit of cleaning up and some accuracy! Best of all, it takes only five to ten minutes to make!

Steps

  1. Get a tissue roll tube. Once you have finished a kitchen roll, one of the long tissues, grab the grey tube that is inside it for your rainshaker.
  2. You can do one of two things. You can now either get spare oats, rice or any other shaky thing for your 'shaky' bit of your 'rainshaker!'
  3. Put the rice or whatever it is in, but hold the tube horizontally as you do so.
  4. This part is slightly trickier. If you have any card or cardboard, that should do the trick but don't use paper. Cut out two circles of card/board and put it on the end of your rainshaker. Glue, staple or press it onto both separate ends to close the rainshaker.
  5. If the circles are too large, cut out the excess parts.
  6. Decorate your boring shaker and add tissue paper or sequins or whatever you want to the outside.
  7. Shake it around all you want!

Tips

  • Decorate your rainshaker as much as you like. There is no limit!
  • You can also put one circle on first, put in the rice and then the other circle.
