How to Explain Something With Hand Puppets

Explaining things to young children can be very difficult, and can leave them confused. Sometimes acting out situations is the best way to help them understand. Hand puppets are also easy for them to relate to. Here's how.

• Think about it... Do you understand all there is to understand about the topic? Can you answer any question the child might have? If you do not understand the topic that you are trying to teach, then the outcome will be undesirable. What are you trying to accomplish? How are you going to accomplish it?
•

  Make it easy to understand. Don't belittle the child, or baby talk to them. Use words you know they understand so they get more out of it.

   you must have a puppet to use a puppet!
  Make you puppet(s). How can you use a puppet if you don't have one?
• Plan it over. How are you going to present your topic to the child? What are you going to do so they will understand?

   TADA!!!
  Do the puppet show! Remember to use nice voices, answer questions, and be convincing.
