Steps

Think of your hand puppet's personality. Try to make it the absolute opposite of your personality. e.g. You: Nice, Puppet: Mean, etc.

Plan your puppet. You may want to sketch it out on a piece of paper. You can make your puppet from another country, such as Mexico, Russia, or any other place with languages that have heavy accents.

Draw your puppets eyes.

Draw your puppets eyebrows. This part is optional.

Add details, such as facial hair, scars, or a hat! The possibilities are endless.

Now that your puppet is done, practice! Nothing is more embarrassing than a awesome looking puppet that you can't operate. Just flex your thumb to make your friend talk.
Tips
- Make sure to use a permanent marker. It will last longer.
- Once your puppet starts to fade, you make want to draw over the fading puppet to make sure it is still visible.
- If you need to get it off quickly, first wash your puppet with soap and water, then put some vegetable oil on a paper towel, and scrub. Then wash again with soap and water. You can use any other oil, such as olive oil, but vegetable oil is cheaper.
Warnings
- This may get you in trouble if your puppet is offensive.
- This may attract unwanted attention in school, or the business place.
