Flubber is a gooey substance on the hand, and flows like a cream if you treat it gently, but breaks apart if you put more force on it. Kids love to play with it, and it is relatively easy to make, it is a great favorite at science fairs. It is also a good time-waster for kids.

- 1 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 cup white glue (like Elmer's)
- 2 Tablespoons of Borax
- Food coloring (optional)
Steps

Make a mixture of 3/4 Cup of the water and the glue (as well as a few drops of food coloring if you like)(any color).
-
Make a second mixture of Borax in the rest of the water (1/2 cup).
-
Put the two mixtures together, preferably in a sealable plastic bag. Knead for a few minutes and presto.
-
Finished.
Tips
- Freeze the flubber once you're done.
- The stuff stays OK for about 3 weeks.
- If there is some excess water, it will evaporate by itself over time.
