Snow globes are great presents and are fun to watch. Learn how to make one here!
Steps
-
Make sure the decoration you chose will fit inside the lid and the jar fits over the decoration onto the lid.
-
Sand a small area in the center of the lid for your decoration.
-
Using a hot glue gun, glue your decoration onto the bottom of the lid where you sanded. Allow the glue to dry for at least 20 minutes.
-
Fill the jar with mineral oil or the water/glycerin mixture.
-
Add glitter.
-
Squeeze hot glue around the inside of the the lid so it seals when you put the lid on the jar. Screw the lid on the jar.
-
Let the snow globe sit for about 30 minutes so the sealing glue has time to dry.
-
Turn upside down and watch the "Snow" fall.
-
Enjoy!
Tips
- Put the cap on carefully.
- Be sure to let the glue dry completely.
- Don't shake the jar violently, shake it gently.
Warnings
- Do not get any glitter/confetti/baby oil in your eyes!
- Be sure to use parental supervision and permission before and while creating your snow globe.
