How to Make a Pencil Holder for Your Desk

Prices these days for a simple pencil holder for your desk are outrageous, why don't you just make one of your own?

1. Find an empty toilet roll tube
   
   
2. Get four 2p coins and cello-tape them together. Then stick it onto a small piece of square card. This will be used as the base of the pencil holder.
   
   
3. Stick the toilet roll tube onto the base with the coins facing downwards
   
   
4. Then cover the tube in coloured paper (or plain and you can decorate it)
   
   
5. Decorate the whole of your pen holder any way you want.
   
   
6. There you go. One easily made pencil holder for very little cost.
   
   

• You could stick multiple toilet roll tubes together if you have a lot of pens and need to keep your desk tidy (as seen at the top of this article)
• Use stickers to decorate your pen holder
• You could make your pen holder into an animal pen holder e.g. a dog or an elephant
