Paper spiders are really cute and simple yet fun to make with your kids. Read on to see how you can make some!
Steps
-
Take a piece of colored paper which can be any color. Black is the most realistic, but you can always get crazy and use orange or green!
-
Fold the paper in half, and place your hand on the folded paper so your wrist is on the crease.
-
Take a crayon, preferably a white crayon on black paper, and trace your hand.
-
Take your scissors and cut the traced hand out!
-
Cut off the traced thumb.
-
Unfold the hand. Take the two thumbs and use a glue stick to glue them to the bottom of the hand (a little than halfway of where the thumbs are "supposed" to be). These will be the spider's fangs.
-
Bend down all fingers (about .75 inch or 2 cm) to make the legs. Repeat with the fangs.
-
Turn it over and decorate a face on it.
Tips
- You don't have to use crayons. You can use anything you want such as glitter glue, paint, or even chalk.
Warnings
- You should help little ones cut the traced hand out.
