- Steel hooks are the finest and you need to use them for working fine crochet cottons.

In the USA, they are commonly sold by identifying letters, from A on up and the most common sizes are D, E, F, G, H, I, and J. In other countries, hook sizes are by number, following the international metric system.

- Find a store with a craft section. Large department stores or craft stores usually carry these items. In a general store, look for the area where you find yarn.

Tips
