How to Crochet a Bag Using Plastic Yarn

So now that you've made yarn out of plastic bags, you have no clue what to do. You don't know how to knit but you absolutely Love to crochet... so make a bag!

1. Make a loop. Simple. Then chain (ch) four times. Join with a slip stitch.
2. R1 Half Double Crochet (hdc)into the loop. nine times. Ch three.
3. R2 make two hdcs in each Chain Space (sp), then join into second of the previous chs. Ch three.
4. R3 Crochet 1hdc into sp, four times. crochet 2hdcs into a space. Repeat until end of round (R), then join in to second of the previous chs. ch 3.
5. R4 Crochet 1hdc into sp. Crochet 2hdcs into next sp. repeat until end of R. join into 2nd of chs, ch 3.
6. R5-7 Crochet 1 hdc into each sp. join into 2nd ch, 3 ch.
7. R8 as R3.
8. R9,10 as round 5.
9. R11 1hdc into sp four times, skip space, 1 hdc into sp four times, skip sp. repeat until end of round, join into 2nd ch, ch 3
10. R12 1 hdc into each Stitch (not the space, the stitch loop) until end of round. Join into 2nd ch, 3 ch.
11. R13-18 as R12.
12. R19-22 as R5, but Finish off.
13. Strap: Chain 20.
14. Row 1-5 hdc into each stitch.
15. Row 6 use a slip stitch to join row 1 to row 5. Seal ends.
16. Crochet together the Strap and the bag.

• Use an I or larger hook in order to easily pick up the yarn as it is thick.
