A chain stitch is the most common stitch in crocheting and probably the easiest to learn.
Steps
-
Form a slip knot and hold the hook inside the slip knot.
-
Slide the hook between yarn and your finger, pulling the yarn trough the slip knot. You now have made one chain stitch.
-
3Repeat to form more chain stitches
Tips
- Small children can make bracelets by forming chain stitches in a row and forming a circle of finished row. Add beads etc. to make it more fancy.
