-
Crochet the palm.
- Sc in each stitch across the top of the cuff. Increase with a few extra sc dispersed evenly throughout this row until this row is equivalent to the circumference of your palm.
- Sc in the first sc, *skip one sc, 3 dc in the next sc (sea shell made), skip one sc, sc in the next sc. Repeat from * ending with a sc in the last sc. Turn.
- Chain 3, dc in the first sc, *sc in the center dc of the next sea shell, 3 dc in the next sc (sea shell made). Repeat from * ending with 2 dc in the last sc. Turn.
- Continue alternating the past two rows until this section is equivalent with the length of your palm. Fasten off.
- Record the number of rows in the palm.
-
Stitch the side seam using a yarn needle and the same color yarn.
- With right sides together, fold the glove in half. Stitch the side seam leaving an opening for your thumb. Fasten off.
- Turn the glove right side out.
-
Crochet a small stretchy cuff around the top of the glove where your fingers will protrude and around the opening for the thumb.
- Sc around the opening. If a tighter fit is needed, decrease with a few less sc dispersed evenly throughout this row.
- Record the number of decreases.
- Alternate with a fpsc in a sc, then a bpsc in the next sc for the next 2 rows. Align a fpsc on top of a bpsc of the previous row. Align a bpsc on top of a fpsc of the previous row. Fasten off.
Tips
- Shorten or lengthen the cuff.
