Knitting a scarf is simple enough, but if you want to knit something bigger, such as a throw, it's very simple.
Steps
-
Find some needles about size 7.
- Get a nice wool, something soft so that you can feel comfortable and it won't feel itchy
- Sit somewhere warm and cozy.
- Cast on about 15-20 stitches on the needle.
- Knit 15-20 rows, or enough to make a square, in garter stitch.
- Cast off knitwise.
- Knit as many squares as you need to make the throw.
-
Stitch the squares together, and voila! You have made your very own throw, perfect for the wintertime.
Tips
- This throw looks nice if you use different stitches or colours.
- If you want to, make different sizes squares and rectangles and sew them up to form a giant square.
- You can add a crochet border if you like.
Warnings
- Be careful that you don't increase or decrease any stitches in your squares, or your throw will look odd and won't be the right shape.
- When sewing squares, be careful with the needle!
