Need a way to hide and deliver a note across classrooms without getting caught? Here's your solution!
Steps
-
Take a piece of paper and fold it over itself to make a triangle with a rectangle a the bottom.
- Cut off the rectangle, if you don't have scissors fold the rectangle back and forth and the cleanly rip it off.
- Unfold the triangle and write your message on the square.
- Fold the paper diagonally into a triangle with the top left angle and the bottom right angle touching, hiding your message.
- Unfold your paper and fold it into a triangle the with the top right angle and the bottom left angle touching.
- Unfold your paper again and pinch the middle where the two creases intersect, this should make your paper look like a mouth.
- Put one finger in each of the four triangles made by the creases and pinch again and you should have the four creases pushing in with the triangles inclining.
- Push two of the opposite triangles in toward each other until you get a triangle.
- Take the two bottom angles on one side of the triangle and fold them up to make a diamond.
- Flip the paper over and repeat with the other side.
- Next take the right angle on the triangle and fold it inward until it intersects with the bottom line of the triangle.
- Repeat step 11 three more times until all of the right angles are folded and you have a shape that looks like a stretched out hexagon.
- Take the top part of one triangle and fold it inward stuffing it into a pocket.
- Repeat until all four triangle tops have been pushed into pockets.
-
Find the hole at the top of the shape and blow into it, your paper should blow up into a balloon and your can easily pass it to your friend who will unfold it and read the message.
Tips
- Write your message in code so if a teacher or someone else intercepts your message they can't read it.
- Pre-make the balloons and after blowing it up you can write a message on a small piece of paper stick it inside and your friend can shake it out.
- Use smaller pieces of paper to make the balloons and have a smaller message carrier.
- If you used a marker to write your message you may want to decorate it so people can't see through the paper.
Warnings
- If passing in school, do not use homework or your notes to make message balloons; teachers tend to get upset if they find out.
