Almost all of us have papers we want to keep, all dog-eared and smudged with dirt and food. These simple steps will turn your old battered paper new.
Steps
-
Find a thick, heavy book. A school textbook would be great. The textbook should be the same size as the paper, if not larger.
-
Sandwich the paper in the middle of the book. When closed, you should not be able to see edges of paper.
-
Leave the paper inside the book overnight.
-
The following day, take paper out. If there are any wrinkles left, bend the crease the opposite direction. For example, if a dog-eared corner is pointing toward the middle of the paper, fold it at the crease out outwards and under the sheet.
-
If there is any caked dirt, carefully blow or brush it off.
-
If there are paint smudges, or food smudges, acquire liquid paper (what you use to cover up pen marks on paper that you don't need). Use that to cover up the stains. Only use if paper is white.
-
Erase with a normal, pink eraser any pencil marks, gently if paper is very fragile.
-
Paper should be like new!
Tips
- If there are any wrinkles left after leaving it sandwiched in a textbook overnight, leave it sandwiched for another few days.
