Use your leftover red packets from Chinese New Year to make a fish as a decoration for your home. Just follow this four step guide to make a simple fish. For a more complex fish, watch the video below.

Steps

  1. Cut a straight line from any one point of the red packet. Do not cut the red packet in half, just half way.
  2. Place your pen knife into the red packet and cut open both sides of the red packet.
  3. Put both ends of the 'tail' together and staple them together.
  4. Poke a hole through the upper fin using a needle and pull a thread through the hole. Tie a knot on the end.
  5. Finished.

Tips

  • You can draw eyes for the fish using the pen.
  • Hang the fishes at different levels if you're planning to place them all of together.
  • You can make a 'mouth' for the fish by cutting a little bit off the front.

Warnings

  • Be careful when using sharp objects.
