Use your leftover red packets from Chinese New Year to make a fish as a decoration for your home. Just follow this four step guide to make a simple fish. For a more complex fish, watch the video below.
Steps
-
Cut a straight line from any one point of the red packet. Do not cut the red packet in half, just half way.
-
Place your pen knife into the red packet and cut open both sides of the red packet.
-
Put both ends of the 'tail' together and staple them together.
-
Poke a hole through the upper fin using a needle and pull a thread through the hole. Tie a knot on the end.
-
Finished.
Tips
- You can draw eyes for the fish using the pen.
- Hang the fishes at different levels if you're planning to place them all of together.
- You can make a 'mouth' for the fish by cutting a little bit off the front.
Warnings
- Be careful when using sharp objects.
