With a square piece of paper, you can make a three-dimensional ball or cube that you can actually blow up like a little balloon. You can even fill it with water and make a water bomb!
Steps
-
Fold a square piece of paper diagonally, in both directions. The creases should make an "X" in the paper. (If you like you can write a message in the middle)
-
Fold the paper down, in half.
-
Bring the upper right corner in as shown.
-
Repeat on the other side. Press down firmly.
-
Fold the flaps to the top.
-
Flip the whole thing over and repeat on the other side to make a diamond shape.
-
Fold the right and left corners to the center of the diamond. Repeat on the other side.
-
Tuck the loose flaps into the folds you just made. Repeat this with all four flaps.
-
On the end that did not have any flaps, you will find a little hole at the point. Blow into it. The ball should inflate - just remember to keep those flaps tucked in, and you might need to loosen up the other folds a little bit for the ball to get round.
-
Finished.
Tips
- If you want to make the water balloon waterproof, put aluminum foil inside it, (not plastic wrap; it will rip because of the heaviness of the water). You may throw it at each other for fun like a water balloon fight.
- Follow all directions possible, if you mess up it will be hard to fix.
- If you did a message inside, hold it against the light and look in the hole.
- If you want this ball to be able to hold water, you might want to use wax paper.
- If you want you can have a water war, and throw these at each other.
- Also you can stick clingfilm to the non coloured side and this will make it waterproof.
Warnings
- When throwing water bombs, be careful not to hit anyone in the face. It can cause injury if the face is hit hard.
