Making the "puppet" from paper is one of the easiest Origami to make. The Origami Puppet looks like a paper sailor's hat when it's closed, but when it's open, it looks like a "mouth puppet". This uses any size of rectangular paper, notebook-size paper works best.
Steps

Fold the piece of paper in half long-ways.

Fold it in half again,. the same way, but the in the opposite direction. Do this on both sides.

Unfold the diagram. so it looks like it's flat on two sides and sticking up in the middle

Fold all the corners to meet with the center

Fold the diagram together. like a book so it looks like a quadrilateral

Fold on the line of symmetry. This step is optional. Do this step if you want the next step to be completely accurate.

Unfold the "line of symmetry". and tear just slightly

Fold the areas to the right and left of the tears. This step is also optional. It creates the lips.
