Sometimes, we get bored, we get tired, or like we have nothing else to do. Or perhaps, we need to use something to make for a simple gift for a crossguard. Nonetheless, we can always make a paper stop sign. You can make one following these simple steps.

Steps

  1. Take a square piece of paper. Make sure the color side is down.
  2. Fold the paper in half diagonally both ways. there should now be and "X" shape created on the paper. These folds will serve as a guide.
  3. Fold each of the four corners in. Make sure that the crease on the corner aligns with the crease on the paper.
    • Note: The folds may not be completely accurate (as in making the polygon regular), so you could use a ruler as well.
  4. Flip the paper over. You should now have an octagon.
  5. Add some decorations, or just in big, bold letters, the classic, "STOP."

Tips

  • The more precise the paper, the more attractive the figure will be.
  • Use thicker paper to make sure the octagon is more sturdy.

Warnings

  • Beware of paper cuts.
