This "abstract" turtle is easy to make from a standard 8 1/2 x 11" sheet of paper. It's an easyorigami project because it doesn't involve anycomplicated folds. Maybe you can make anorigami jumping frog or duct tape turtle to keep it going along!
Steps
-
Take an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper.
-
Fold your piece of paper in half.
-
Unfold and turn the paper over so the crease is up.
-
Take the top left and right corners and fold them towards the center.
-
Turn the paper over again.
-
Take the middle left and right corners and fold it towards the center with the bottom flap facing up.
-
Tuck in the bottom left and right corners to make a straight bottom edge.
-
Fold the top corner down into half.
-
Fold the same corner back up in half over itself.
-
Fold the left and right bottom corners towards the middle.
-
Fold those same corners in half over themselves.
-
Flip the project over to see the finished turtle. Try to bend up the crease on the back of the turtle to make it look more real.
Tips
- If you choose, use green construction paper.
- Use thin paper as it is much harder when you use thick ones.
- Try to bend up the crease on the back of the turtle to make it look more real.
- Use the side of your thumbnail to flatten down every crease.
