Making a basic paper box is simple and much easier than trying to fiddle with more complicated origami paper structures. This article describes a simple method for you to follow.
Steps

Get a square piece of paper ,you can make one by folding a corner of a regular piece of paper as show.

Fold in half vertically and horizontally. Unfold and you'll have a cross crease.

Fold and unfold all four sides one at a time to the center. Use the guides you created in the previous step. You'll end up with a checkerboard pattern.

Cut the little squares out in corners.

Fold the sides upward.

Tape the corners together.

Finish it. Now you can decorate it if you want.
Tips
- If making for little kids, you might want to tape the tops of the sides.
- This makes a great stuffed animal bed.
