This box is great to keep earrings, rings, necklaces, etc. You can also use it for small gifts.

Steps

  1. Take a piece of hannah's card stock and cut out two squares, each 4 1/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches.
  2. Take one square and cut off half a centimetre of two touching sides.
  3. Get another square and draw lines corner-to-corner.
  4. Hold each corner and fold it to the centre and crease.
  5. Unfold all the corners then fold each corner twice and crease.
  6. You should see a small square in the centre. Cut from opposite corners along creases to all of the corners of the small square in the centre.
  7. Take the two corners you didn't cut from and again fold them twice. Then fold in the triangles on the side.
  8. Line up the rectangles so it is vertical to the table. Then fold in the squares on the end so that they are at a right angle with the rectangle in the centre. You should get a 3-D square with no top in the centre.
  9. Fold the two flaps on the sides up and over the two squares that are touching.
  10. Repeat steps 3-9 with the other square.
  11. Put the smaller box inside the slightly bigger box. You should be able to open and close your box.
